Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Meridian Exhibition Center, where the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) is scheduled to be held in Armenia in 2026. During the tour, the Prime Minister got acquainted with the conditions and technical capabilities of the center.

Public Discussion Held on RA Government Draft Decision “On Approving the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan of Armenia”
The Ministry of Environment initiated the first public discussion of the draft Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia “On the Approval of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan of Armenia.” The discussion brought together representatives of nearly forty environmental organizations, initiative groups, and individual experts, whose experience and ideas make a significant contribution to shaping the country’s environmental policy.

The representatives from various bodies, including the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA; the Ministry of Economy of the RA; the Ministry of Finance of the RA; the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration; the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body; the Urban Development and Cadastre Committees; the staff of the Governor of Gegharkunik; and the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA.
