Measures to ban whitefish fishing in Lake Sevan are continuing
Within the framework of joint activities carried out in Lake Sevan during the whitefish spawning period, today, December 16, the special purpose detachment of the National Park "Sevan", as well as representatives of the police and the Inspection Body for the Protection of Nature and Subsoil carried out explanatory work on the importance of the ban on hunting during fish spawning, organized and carried out work on withdrawal of funds for bathing, hunting tools and temporary shelters.

EU4Sevan achievements were summarized in the Gegharkunik region and further steps of cooperation were discussed with the local government representatives
On December 2, the Gegharkunik regional administration, regional local government representatives and the leaders of enlarged communities discussed the currently implemented activities and already recorded results within the framework of the EU4Sevan project. Further cooperation based on these activities were discussed with a view of replicating these throughout the Lake Sevan Basin.
