“Ecothon ՛25” Brought Together Representatives of Organizations Working in the Fields of Community Empowerment and Climate Resilience
The two-day Ecothon ՛25 event was held within the framework of the “Strengthening Sustainable Climate Resilience of Armenian Communities through Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Practices” project, implemented by the “Women in Climate and Energy” NGO and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES Armenia) in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment of the RA and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Environment, the draft order of the Minister “On Establishing the List of Hunting Animals, Their Permissible Quantities and Hunting Dates for 2025–2026” was discussed.

New Forest Zone to Be Established Near Yerevan TV Tower
At its session of August 14, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the draft resolution “On the Consolidation of Real Estate and Its Consolidation with the Right of Gratuitous Use” submitted by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA. Under this decision, two land plots adjacent to the TV Tower on G. Hovsepyan Street in Yerevan, measuring 1.72 ha and 1.687 ha, have been consolidated under the “Armforest” SNCO of the Ministry of Environment of the RA for the purpose of creating a forest zone.

The Air Quality Monitoring System Will Be Fully Updated By 2030
At its August 14 session, the executive branch approved a draft developed by the Ministry of Environment, which will completely update the air quality monitoring system by 2030.
