Armenpress reports:
New forests with an area of more than 30 hectares will be established in Artsakh.
It is envisaged to plant a forest tree nursery and new forests with an area of 30-35 hectares in Artsakh. Acting Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Romanos Petrosyan stated this in a conversation with "Armenpress".

11 schools of Syunik region received grants within the framework of “Support Program for Protected Areas-Armenia” (SPPA-A) project of the Ministry of Environment
Under the 3rd stage of "Financial Participatory Approach" component of "SPPA-A" project, a project competition was held for the 4 target cities of the SPPA-A program in RA Syunik region: Kapan, Kajaran, Meghri and Agarak. The programs illustrated by the schools were on environmental topics, and the amount of grants given to implement the programs, to instill love for nature in schoolchildren and perform environmental education activities amounted to up to 1.500.000 AMD.

The reflection of 30-year diplomatic relations between Armenia and Lithuania: Lithuanian forest was established in Lori region
Acting Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Inga Stanite-Tolochkiene, Lori Region Governor Aram Khachatryan, Acting Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan and a number of officials planted the first saplings of the Lithuanian forest symbolizing diplomatic relations in Lori region.
