Let us know our nature
The national conservation status of the globally threatened Common Pochard Aythya ferina has not previously been assessed in Armenia. Monitoring of the species in 2003–2019 shows that the Pochard breeds in the wetlands of the Ararat Plain, on the Shirak and Lori Plateaus, and at Lake Sevan, c. 800–2,040 m above sea level.

As part of her business trip to Kenya, Deputy Environment Minister Anna Mazmanyan met with the Director of the Europe Office of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Bruno Pozzi and the Head of Resource Mobilization and Partnership Specialist Ms. Kathy Outer, to discuss the priorities of cooperation in the field of the environment, the roadmap for the next two years and ways to solve existing problems.

Deputy Minister of Environment Anna Mazmanyan took part in the fifth session of the UN Environment Program and the special session of the Environment Summit dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of the UN Environment Program
The Deputy Minister made a speech, during which he touched upon the global environmental challenges and the role of Armenia in countering these challenges.
