The handover ceremony of two tractors to the “Armforest” SNCO took place at the “Hrazdan Forestry” branch as part of the “Forest Resilience of Armenia: Enhancing Adaptation and Rural Green Growth via Mitigation” project. The tractors were purchased with the support of the Austrian Development Agency under the UN FAO – “EPIU” SI – “Armforest” SNCO tripartite cooperation programme.
The tractors will be deployed in Lori and Syunik Provinces and, due to their technical specifications, will primarily be used for forest utilization works. The eight-year project is financed by the Green Climate Fund, as well as the Government of Armenia, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Autonomous Province of Bolzano in Italy, the Austrian Development Agency, and the UN FAO.
