The Government of the Republic of Armenia Approved the Draft Resolution “On the Consolidation of Real Estate and Its Consolidation with the Right of Gratuitous Use”

At its session of August 7, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the draft resolution “On the Consolidation of Real Estate and Its Consolidation with the Right of Gratuitous Use,” submitted by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA.
The Anti-Corruption Court upheld the claims filed by the Prosecutor General's Office and restored the ownership rights of the Republic of Armenia over five plots of land located on G. Hovsepyan Street in the Nork-Marash administrative district of Yerevan, adjacent to the TV tower.
According to the draft, a land plot of approximately 1,773 square meters, located in the Nork-Marash administrative district of Yerevan, adjacent to G. Hovsepyan Street, owned by the Republic of Armenia and having a cadastral value of AMD 1,044,444,159, shall be attached to the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia with the right of gratuitous use.
The aforementioned land is planned to be consolidated by the Ministry’s “Armforest” SNCO for conversion into forest land according to its designated purpose, thereby ensuring sustainable management in compliance with Armenia’s forest legislation.
The Ministry of Environment of the RA is considering implementing programmes aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of Yerevan in the aforementioned areas, including through collaboration with international partners.
Within the framework of the project, afforestation, reforestation, and subsequent maintenance activities are planned, resulting in the creation of a new forest park covering approximately 7 hectares in the city of Yerevan.
The implementation of the project will contribute to:

  • Expanding the forested area in the capital;
  • Preventing soil degradation;
  • Absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen;
  • Reducing dust emissions;
  • And, more broadly, creating a healthy living environment for residents.
