Deputy Minister of Environment A. Mazmanyan held an online working consultation with the officers of the scientific and ecotourism divisions of the SNCOs supervising the management and preservation of specially protected areas of nature

The following issues apropos of functioning of SNCOs were discussed:
Eco-education
An agreement has been reached with the SNCOs to conduct regular online educational lessons for children and adolescents of different ages, colloborating with the heads of the relevant subdivisions of the Ministry.
The lessons are focused on delivering  knowledge on the role and importance of SPAs in biodiversity conservation processes, flora, fauna, endemic, rare plant and animal species in SPAs, their preservation and ecotourism, raising the awareness on these areas.
Children living abroad can also take part in the lessons. This will give an opportunity to gain knowledge on the native nature, to get acquainted with the environmental problems of Armenia.
The corresponding representation of specially protected areas of nature on social networks.
Discussed the issue of developing a strategy to ensure the representation and the activity of SNCOs - performing the management of specially protected areas of nature – on social networks.
Ecotourism in specially protected areas of nature
The activities fulfilled ahead of the tourist season, the upcoming measures envisaged in that context were considered. There were made various proposals with reference to how to implement the already planned programs and measures in the conditions of COVID-19 epidemic.
