Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Met with Bat-Erdene Bat-Ulzii, Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia

Within the framework of the #IUCN World Conservation Congress, Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, met with Bat-Erdene Bat-Ulzii, Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the preparatory processes for the upcoming global environmental conferences:
-  CBD COP17, which will be held in Armenia in October 2026, and
-  UNCCD COP17, which will be held in Mongolia in August 2026.
The parties agreed that these important events present an opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation in the environmental sphere and jointly promote nature-based solutions.
They emphasized that the Caucasus and Central Asia regions are united not only by their interconnected ecosystems but also by a shared vision for sustainable development.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to supporting environmental initiatives that contribute to biodiversity preservation, enhance climate resilience, and coordinate efforts in nature conservation. The meeting represented another step in strengthening the partnership between Armenia and Mongolia within the framework of #IUCN, #CBD, and #UNCCD, paving the way for a positive and resilient future for nature.
