The World Observes World Nature Conservation Day

On July 28, the world observes World Nature Conservation Day — a reminder that our planet’s natural resources are finite, and it is our shared responsibility to conserve nature, protect biodiversity, and work towards a sustainable future.
The message of the day reminds us to:

  • Conserve water and energy;
  • Promote recycling;
  • Protect forests, animals and plants;
  • Reassess our impact on the environment.

According to some sources, World Nature Conservation Day has been observed since 1997, initiated by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), while others trace its origins back to the 1972 United Nations Conference on the Human Environment held in Stockholm.
Today, this responsibility lies with us—not only as a state but as a society, and as a generation committed to preserving a vibrant natural world and a sustainable environment for those who come after us.
Change begins with each of us. Step by step, through action rather than words.
