The Minister of Environment held an expanded meeting

The Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan held an extended meeting with the participation of the Ministry's departments and the senior staff of subordinate SNCOs.
Preparatory work for the nationwide tree planting, which will take place next Sunday, was discussed.
Acting Director of "Hayantar" SNCO of Forestry Committee of the MoE  Pavel Tsugunyan reported on the current stage of preparatory work on tree planting. Maps of territories with the appropriate characteristics for planting trees, issues related to the proper organization of the supply of seedlings were discussed.
Pavel Tsugunyan assured that everything possible will be done for the proper implementation of tree planting.
During the meeting, the issue of pollution of white storks was raised, the head of the relevant department reported to the Minister about the work done during this time.
The Inspection Body for Nature and Subsoil Protection will conduct new observations on the sanitary and hygienic condition of waste disposal at Masis municipal landfills and compliance with the norms of waste from private fish farms, as well as cleaning drainage systems in these territories and carrying out work to remove the material accumulated in them.
The Minister instructed to develop and, in accordance with the established procedure, submit for discussion a draft legal act, which will exclude cases of dismantling of the neutralization system (catalyst) of motor vehicles in good condition, operation of a motor vehicle without a neutralization system and in its faulty condition, as a result of which the volume of emissions of harmful substances into the air, as well as their harmful effects on the environment and human life and health, will be significantly reduced.
Legislative reforms in the water and forestry sectors that are in the process were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Ministry presented the vaccination statistics of employees: 93% of the central office of the Ministry, 99% of the Forestry Committee, 99% of the Office for the Implementation of environmental Programs, 90% of the "Center for Environmental Impact Assessment" SNCO were vaccinated.
Vaccinations are in progress.
