It Is Planned to Review the Rates of Nature Use Fees Set for Usage of Living Resources That Are Objects of Fauna, As Well As the Procedure for Their Payment

During the National Assembly session on April 17, Hakob Simidyan, Minister of Environment of the RA presented to the parliament the draft law “On Making Amendments and Addenda to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia.”
In its initial stage, the draft law proposes to completely revise the rates of nature use fees set only for the useage of living resources that are objects of fauna. The fees are expected to be increased approximately twofold in most cases, with the exception of whitefish, for which the rate is proposed to triple—from the current AMD 65 to AMD 200 per kilogram
The draft law also proposes revising the procedure for paying nature use fees, stipulating that payments will be based not on the actual volume of resources used, but on the amount specified in the relevant contract or license.
