The "development of aquaculture and the formation of the fish economy in the name of the "green agreement" in Armenia and Ukraine has started. Erasmus+ Capacity Development Program " from education to ecology" (AFISCHE)

Today, the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia gave the "development of aquaculture and fisheries education in the name of the "green deal" in Armenia and Ukraine. Launch of the Erasmus+ capacity development program "from education to ecology" (AFISCHE).
The opening meeting of the three-day event was attended by Deputy Ministers of Environment Tigran Gabrielyan and Aram Meimaryan, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, Director of the International Scientific and Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences Armen Sargsyan, Director of the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology Sarkis Aghayan, Director of the Center of Zoology and Hydroecology Barduh Gabrielyan, Rector of the National Agrarian University of Armenia Vardan Urutyan, representatives of scientific and educational institutions from European countries, other interested parties.
Deputy Minister of Environment Tigran Gabrielyan welcomed the launch of the program in Armenia, noting that the introduction of a new master's degree program, developed jointly with the International Scientific and Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and the National Agrarian University of Armenia on the basis of the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, will undoubtedly become the basis for the training of aquaculturists and fisheries managers.
"The knowledge and skills acquired within the framework of the program will serve the scientifically grounded activities of aquacultures and fisheries operating in Armenia, as well as those being created in the future, as well as the use of modern technologies, as a result of which the negative impact of aquacultures and fisheries on the environment will be reduced," the Deputy Minister said.
The main goal of the project is to reduce the negative impact of aquaculture and fisheries on the environment by creating and developing Master's degree programs in aquaculture and fisheries in Armenia and Ukraine, which will be equivalent to leading European similar programs, will be aimed at national and regional needs and strengthen university-enterprise-research cooperation.:
The program is implemented by the International Scientific and Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, the National Agrarian University of Armenia and the Scientific Center of Zoology and Hydroecology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
In order to effectively implement the program, a cooperation agreement was signed between the International Scientific and Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Agrarian University of Armenia.
