On May 12, a discussion was held at the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Armenia, which was attended by the heads of licensed organizations engaged in technical inspection of vehicles, representatives of the Ministry of Environment.
The Ministry of Environment has developed and put into circulation a draft On Amendments and additions to the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No. 1565-n dated September 24, 2021, which provides for including in the work on checking the technical condition during the technical inspection of vehicles also checking the content of nitrogen oxides (Nox) in the gases released, to replenish the list of technical means used to check their condition during the technical inspection of vehicles at technical inspection stations with equipment that provides more accurate parameters for checking exhaust gases.
During the meeting, problems related to the above-mentioned legislative changes were inventoried, concerns related to the practical applicability of the planned changes were discussed, and proposals and comments will be submitted to the Ministry of Environment with a view to including the draft legislative changes in the final version.
